The Hitachi Energy Indian Operations Center (INOPC) is a competence center with around 2300 skilled engineers who focus on tendering, engineering, planning, procurement, project Management, functional system testing, installation supervision, documentation and commissioning. However, over the last decade, it has evolved to become the largest Operations hub.. The India Operations Centre team at Chennai, Bangalore and Gurugram supports Hitachi Energy’s units in more than 40 countries across a wide portfolio of all the four business units in Hitachi Energy To date, the team has executed engineering and commissioning for projects in more than 80 countries.

Your Responsibilities:

• Responsible to create test cases that cover all aspects of the software, including functional, regression, performance, and security testing (if required).

• Responsible to execute test cases, record test results, and report any issues or bugs found during testing.

• Should collaborate with development teams to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve issues found during testing.

• Should document all test cases, test results, and issues found during testing, creating comprehensive reports that can be shared with stakeholders.

• Work to continuously evaluate the testing process to identify areas for improvement and implement changes that increase the effectiveness and efficiency of testing.

Your background:

• A bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science or electrical engineering, or a related field.

• Experience in software testing and quality assurance, including knowledge of different types of testing such as manual testing, automated testing, regression testing, and performance testing.

• Good understanding of Software Development Life Cycle and knowledge of various testing methodologies like Agile, Waterfall, etc. to apply appropriate testing techniques for the project.

• Proficient in at least one programming languages such as Java, Python etc.

• Proficient in writing SQL queries (joins, aggregation, conversion between and functions for date/number/character)

• Experience working respectfully in a culturally diverse work environment.

• Ability to work independently and with teams.

• Effective verbal and written communication skills with coworkers globally in English.

• Should have excellent problem-solving skills to troubleshoot and resolve complex software defects.
