Nature and Scope:

  • Reports to direct contract management.

  • Starts and stops, monitors, and adjusts equipment.

  • Communicates and documents status and condition of equipment.

  • Performs all levels of maintenance up to ADVANCED maintenance activities, performs and/or supervises major maintenance tasks and activities.

  • Performs mechanical and electrical troubleshooting, testing and isolation on equipment as required.

  • Performs, supports, and assists with maintenance scheduling, materials planning, and resource planning.

  • Transition position into team leader assignments and secondary supervision of other contract positions and/or assigned contract vendors.

  • Perform upkeep and housekeeping tasks to maintain a safe and clean work environment.

  • Perform other duties and administrative tasks as assigned by direct management or supervisors.

The MMS Technician III will be responsible for ensuring world class availability and reliability of the customer's Solar Turbine fleet including equipment condition assessments, regular maintenance inspections, daily rounds and any additional requests from the Fleet Manager and/or onsite customer contact. This role will report directly to the Fleet Manager of the respective contract and will be working directly at customer sites and/or offices.

Principal Accountabilities:

• Understand and comply with Solar and/or Customer company policies and directives. Understand and comply with Solar and/or Customer HSE policies and directives. Report any accidents or incidents, near misses, or safety observations in a timely manner.

• Work permit program understanding and compliance. Supervise, conduct and participate in general safety meetings and toolbox (Tailgate) safety briefings including Work Place Hazard and Task Risk Assessment reviews. Submit safety suggestions identified as appropriate.

• Maximize availability/reliability of equipment under the scope of the contract without compromising safety.

• Responsible for the documentation of: Daily work logs, operations and maintenance activities, parts usage and inventory consumption. Provides input into the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) for maintenance history or equivalent tracking and historical document retention system.

• Effective communication and initiates notification process. Begins immediate or call out investigation/inspection of equipment failure or conditions that are out of normal operating limits and/or conditions without compromising safety.

• Initiates Root Cause Analysis process for failure or malfunctioning equipment cause and resolution.

• Performs and/or supports immediate analysis and repair actions to resolve equipment deviation identified as “out of limits” or abnormal conditions.

• Primary position for mechanical electrical testing, isolation and major maintenance tasks.

• Transition position with team leader assignments, secondary supervision roles during maintenance activities and tasks.

• Support role for planning, forecasting, and scheduling including procurement of materials and external resources.

• Primary technical and administrative training assignments to other team positions. Perform qualified ”Authorized Employee” tasks or specific administrative tasks as assigned by supervisor or direct manager. Including Primary coordinator responsibility assignments.

• Complete and maintain required safety training & “Authorized Employee” qualifications. • Complete and maintain required technical training and qualifications.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Be able to provide proof of full vaccination against COVID-19.

• High School diploma, GED or equivalent

• 5-7 years related industrial experience.

• Intermediate to Advanced computer skills

• Be able to pass a UK Offshore Physical.

• Be able to obtain a Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC)

Preferred Qualifications:

• Prior military experience.

• Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) Certification.
